Weeks 19, 20, 21, and 22 (in other words, Mommy is an inconsistent letter writer)

My Loves,

Please forgive me.  Once again, I have been unable to keep my own promise to write every week.  Let’s try to catch up.

Week 19 – Daddy and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary this week.  Every day, that man reminds me of how lucky I am to be his wife.  He has been the best pre-Daddy I’ve ever seen.  This past year, he’s put up with the highs and lows of trying to make you two a reality.  I couldn’t ask for a stronger man than your Daddy.

Week 20 – We had our detailed scan of you this week.  If we haven’t by the time you read this, we should show you the DVD recording of this.  Both of you were kicking so much that day!  It was the most beautiful sight to look in on the two of you and see that you both had all the right parts in all the right places.

Week 21 – I’ve been able to feel you both moving around, but you still aren’t big enough for Daddy to feel your gymnastics.  Your eyelashes and eyebrows are coming in.  Though I will love whatever color hair either of you wind up with, I kind of hope that one has blonde hair and one has brown hair.

Week 22 – THANKSGIVING!  We traveled from Arkansas, all the way across Tennessee, and into North Carolina to see Grandpa Tom and Grandma Kay.  Uncle Michael and Aunt Aubrey were able to come out from Arizona with your Cousin Caroline to visit.  Daddy got to practice holding and feeding with Caroline, and it was so nice to see the family.  The most amazing event of the week, though, was that you both are finally big enough to feel your kicks and jabs!  I think I’ll put you both in gymnastics.  Daddy can now feel you kicking, and we are truly blessed by your health.

Next week, we will have another look at you.  Though we’ve been told you are both little girls, one of you, the one we call Skylar, has been a bit shy when the ultrasound tech has tried to get a look at you.  Let’s hope you are a little more outgoing next week so we can make very sure whether or not you are a girl or a boy.  Not for any other reason than to know what we need to buy and, if you are indeed a little prince, we’ll have to do some rearranging of middle names.  If you are both girls, both boys, or one of each, you are both our little miracles, and we are so very blessed to have you.

With my entire heart, I love you,

Mommy
